Rancho Viejo: Experience Authentic Mexican Flavors in Geneseo

Nice clean reasonably priced restaurant! We came on a busy Saturday evening. Waited just a few minutes to be seated. Friendly and attentive server. Hot fresh tortilla chips with salsa served right away. My son and I settled on the Burritos Deluxe. Very delicious. Restrooms modern and clean. Nice music too!

Taco Tuesday's are busy! Anticipate a wait for the dining room if you go around the dinner hour. Thankfully we found two open seats at the bar at 6pm. I always enjoy the chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants and Rancho Viejo did not disappoint. We had hot chips and fresh salsa on the counter within several minutes of being seated. The margarita was refreshing and boozy. Standard fare was offered on their menu: rice, beans, enchiladas, tacos and more. The food arrived piping hot and quickly after ordering. It's nothing to write home about and it satisfied our craving for tacos on Tuesday. There was a hustle and bustle in the dining room as they were short staffed on the evening we visited. We appreciated the prompt service we had at the bar. Our only complaint was the bathrooms were gross. If you're looking for reasonably priced margaritas, chips & salsa with a standard rice 'n beans dinner, Rancho Viejo is your spot.

Amazing food and fantastic atmosphere. I loved the experience so much. Will definitely go back again. Just be warned! When they say large margarita they mean it!

This place was my comfort spot during college. When I was sad, I went to Rancho. When I had something to celebrate, I went to Rancho. Me and my boyfriend made every excuse in the book to go here so often the waitress started saying "welcome back". That said, you need to know what to order to get the best experience. My common orders were the chicken flautas, shrimp fajitas, Texas fajitas (really any fajitas), and la bandera when I still ate gluten. My boyfriend was obsessed with the Santa Fe burrito and refused to get anything else. We often shared the chorizo queso and a pina colada as well (they are huge). The waiters (especially April and the manager) are amazing and the food always came quick and hot. I will miss this place so much. Geneseo students please go support!

First time here and would come back if I was in this area again (from Michigan). I was a little taken aback when we first entered - the decor and booths are a bit gaudy but I was darn hungry so I stuck around. The waiter was very attentive and quick to refill drinks. The chips were warm and the salsa was a wee bit chunky. I could have made a meal out of the chips and salsa. I was a bit tired and just wanted tacos - my fav comfort food. I can't eat dairy so I just got ground beef tacos with lettuce and then added some of the salsa to it. The only thing that kept this from being a five star visit was that hubby and I agreed that the ground beef was barely seasoned - I make more seasoned tacos at home.
